Te Puke Veterinary Centre is fully equipped to take high quality digital radiographs (often called X-rays) of your pet. Our veterinarians will discuss your pet’s case and conduct a thorough physical examination to determine if your pet requires radiographs. Radiographs are a very important tool to help us diagnose diseases in animals, particularly for conditions involving bones, the chest or abdomen. Your pet will usually stay in for the day to be sedated or anesthetised to take the radiographs. We will show you and explain the radiographs and discuss the plan with you when you collect your pet, or we will phone you earlier to discuss more urgent cases.

At Te Puke Veterinary Centre we have a very modern ultrasound machine that allows us to investigate soft tissue issues for our pets. This valuable machine is another diagnostic tool in our clinic that we can use to help provide excellent service for our clients.
Often we can ultrasound pets unsedated, but for particular work-ups your pet may need to be anaesthetised.

Local farmers, associated rural communities and Te Puke town people have supported Te Puke Vet Centre for over 50 years. During those years scores of receptionists, nurses and vets have lived and enjoyed the benefits of this great town and area. It is very important for Te Puke Vets that we are strongly integrated with the local community and as part of that we are proud to support many local schools, sports clubs, service organisations and community events.
