Kate Gloyn
Practice Manager - BVSc
Kate joined Te Puke vets in August 2019, having moved over from the Waikato where she was a Regional Manager for a nation-wide vet company.
Kate is a large animal veterinarian who did her work experience as a student at TPVC many years ago and is excited to be back in the district. She will largely be based in the clinic managing the staff and business but you may see her out and about on farm in the future as well. Kate is available to chat to for any questions or needs you may have, so feel free to come say hi when you are next in the clinic.
Elena Thompson
Office Manager
Elena has been at Te Puke Vets since 2004 and enjoys the pace and variety of her job. Always busy Elena is the go to person of the practice.
Away from work Elena enjoys the country life and a spot of trout fishing with husband Craig.
Emmy Buchanan
Receptionist
Emmy joined the Te Puke Vet team in August 2022. She has come from an administration background and is looking forward to diversifying her skills within the animal industry. She lives locally on a small lifestyle block and in her spare time enjoys running, hiking and getting outdoors on the farm.
Jess Macdonald
Receptionist
Jess joined the Te Puke Vets Centre team in June 2021, having moved from Reporoa, previously working in a Large Animal Vet Clinic and Contract Milking on a farm with her Husband, Taylor.
Jess is excited to share her background knowledge and meet the clients. Jess is currently on maternity leave.
Clare Fursdon
Receptionist
Clare is excited to join the Te Puke Vet Centre as a receptionist. Born and raised on a farm and always surrounded by pets, she is looking forward to the challenge of a new industry.
In her spare time amongst raising 2 children, she enjoys Speedway where her partner races super saloons and Sprint cars.
Glenda Avery
Receptionist/Vet Nurse
Glenda started working at Te Puke Vet Centre as a vet nurse in 2009. She has now transitioned to the reception team and is now semi retired working two days a week.
In her spare time she loves to travel, spend time in her garden and loves cooking, photography and walking the beach with Lux the dog.
