Practice Manager - BVSc
Kate joined Te Puke vets in August 2019, having moved over from the Waikato where she was a Regional Manager for a nation-wide vet company.
Kate is a large animal veterinarian who did her work experience as a student at TPVC many years ago and is excited to be back in the district. She will largely be based in the clinic managing the staff and business but you may see her out and about on farm in the future as well. Kate is available to chat to for any questions or needs you may have, so feel free to come say hi when you are next in the clinic.
Elena has been at Te Puke Vets since 2004 and enjoys the pace and variety of her job. Always busy Elena is the go to person of the practice.
Away from work Elena enjoys the country life and a spot of trout fishing with husband Craig.
Mary Van Gog
Trading Manager / Receptionist
Mary started work here in June 1997, and really enjoys client contact and going that extra mile to help customers with their purchasing decisions. Mary is also the “Camp Mother” for all the staff at Te Puke Vets.
Mary and her husband Harry have previously owned a dairy farm and a dry stock farm doing heifer grazing. Outside of work, Mary enjoys going for trips away in the camper van and catching up with the children and grandchildren.
Kelly is relatively new to Te Puke Vet Centre after moving to our great little town with her 5 dogs in April 2020 from a kiwifruit orchard in Katikati. Prior to moving to the Bay of Plenty in 2015 she spent many years working at Massey University as an animal nutrition technician, also worked as a vet nurse and is a qualified canine behaviour practitioner. She is genuinely loving working back in her happy place being involved with helping both pets and their owners.
Outside of work Kelly can usually be found working with her dogs training and competing in dog agility competitions around the upper North Island. She also belongs to the Mount Maunganui Dog Training Club where she teaches basic obedience classes as well as running her own dogs in agility, however her greatest joy is raising a litter or 2 of Border Collie X Springer Spaniel puppies each year. When not at agility Kelly and the dogs can usually be found at one of our many beaches enjoying all they have to offer.
Tina started work here in November 2016 after buying a home in Te Puke with her husband Mike. Originally from the deep south, she spent 18 years on a sheep and beef farm helping over the busy lambing, docking and shearing time, followed by calf rearing and relief milking on a Southland dairy farm.
Away from work Tina is a huge netball and rugby fan, loves gardening and experimenting in the kitchen.
Receptionist / Vet Nurse
Glenda started working at Te Puke Vet Centre as a vet nurse in 2009. She has now transitioned to the reception team and is now semi retired working two days a week.
In her spare time she loves to travel, spend time in her garden and loves cooking, photography and walking the beach with Lux the dog.
Kendra started working at Te Puke Vets in September 2019. Kendra loves meeting all the clients, their pets and getting to know them. Prior to working at Te Puke Vet Centre Kendra did hotel reception in Rotorua.
